Located in the heart of Bogota, the Museo de Arte Contemporaneo (MAC) is a cultural landmark known for its avant-garde architecture and its mission to promote culture with social significance.
Situated within a working-class neighborhood, MAC serves as a hub for contemporary visual arts, creating a space for artistic expression and community engagement. To further strengthen the museum's connection with its visitors, the rebranding initiative aimed to capture the essence of MAC's spirit while enhancing its commitment to the community.
Concept
The Museum Building as a Convergence Place
The concept for MAC was inspired by its architectural excellence and its status as a cultural center. Focused on the idea of the museum building itself as a central point for convergence, the vision was to transform MAC not only as a space for displaying art but as a dynamic hub where ideas, cultures, and perspectives intersect.
Brand Identity
Central to our rebranding strategy was the development of a brand identity that resonated with MAC’s essence while remaining adaptable to its evolving needs. The visual identity reflects the museum’s dynamic nature, allowing it to be flexible and engage with diverse audiences and artistic expressions. It is a response to its concept, the changing and evolving of who may arrive: visitors and artists’ works.
